At last Science made a discovery. She found out that the Juvenile Agriculturalist hypothecated his chronometer! All of which is, of course, highly satisfactory, and very explanatory.
But in the event of any new phase of mediumship, or seership, being developed, it may be advisable to coin a simple and easily understood word to denote that phase. To having done this I plead guilty. I have coined the word “ Phone-voyance” to denote a phase in my seership that may fosszdly be new to Modern Spiritualism. This phase is the pos- session of the ability at times to give Clairvoy- ance through, or when using, the telephone, The word “Phone-voyance” implies four things. Firstly, that there is a demonstration of psychic vision; secondly, that there is paysical contact; thirdly, that this contact is by means of a telephone company’s wires and instruments ; and fourthly, that the Clair- voyance is simultaneous with the physical contact. I do not use the word ‘‘ Telesthesia ” for several reasons, Firstly, it conveys no
