He was a weaver by profession but became a disciple of Ramananda and acquired great eminence as a poet. There are 541 hymns of Kabir in the Adi Granth. oe jo diseh ambar tare Those stars in I.be sky Who has designed them and put them there? 0 learned Pandit, know you what bolds the heavens? Only the fortunate ones know the secret. He bas given light to the Sun and Moon lo everything shines lhe spirit of lhe Creator. Says Kabir, only he will know Who has God in his heart and His name on bis lips.
