The glimpses caught by the Seer of what is possible may help other explorers to lead us to a platform from whence we may have uninterrupted vision from Mount Pisgah of the Promised Land, into which our children will be permitted to enter. Mr. Turvey discovered what he called “Phone-voyance” in 1905. But its exercise was intermittent and fitful. It was reserved for a much later experimenter to prove that this faculty can be trained to such perfection that it can be exercised at will under the most adverse conditions. The experiments carried on by a Committee of Investigators between the Alhambra stage and the Dazly Jfirror office, as recorded in the Occult Review of April, show that a professional music hall per- former and her husband were able, with the aid of the ordinary telephone, to practise phone-voyance to the entire satisfaction, or mystification, of the committee. Articles pre- sented at random to the husband, by members of the committee in the Alhambra, were im- mediately seen and described by his wife, who was at the other end of the telephone in a newspaper office a mile away.
