If the thermistor is sealed in a thermos bottle which is heat-cold resistant from the outside, it should register the temperature ONLY within the thermos. If, as a result of "mind-overmatter," temperature changes could be induced into the thermistor sealed within the thermos bottle, such would be evidence of psychokenisis.
